President Obama should pardon Bradley Manning.
It looks like Manning will appear before a military court on Dec 16th. Who knew it could take so long just to get a damn hearing?

It is essentially a pre-trial hearing that will supposedly allow evaluation of strengths and weaknesses in the government’s case. Ya right. :eyes:

Of course Manning has already been subjected to torture by the US military for revealing US war crimes...so a trial conducted by the US military itself will be nothing more than a farce.

Bradley Manning exposed the US as an imperialist nation that wreaks havoc on the rest of the world. He revealed evidence of war crimes where US soldiers were gunning down civilians from an Apache helicopter. Of course the corporate media has promptly tried to bury this information. No surprise there. We know who they work for.

Manning will not be able to get a fair trial. If Manning is indeed convicted by that kangaroo court, he should be pardoned by President Obama.

1. Obama didn't even care about his inhumane treatment
at Quantico. A pardon? Not likely.

9. You lie!!!
You will and so will I. He won't do it, anyway. It would set a dangerous precedent for our military. Any time someone gets yelled at they'll be crying about "secrets" that they shouldn't have access to to begin with and use the US vs. Manning defense.

3. On his way out the WH door, perhaps.
But the screeching would be neverending if he did it now.

8. He won't. He said Manning (not Cheney btw) "committed a crime"
This is reminding me how much I disagree with our POTUS.

13. What crime has he been convicted of?
Or is the accusation good enough for you? President Obama has said he committed a crime and he is the commander-in-chief of the judges and jury in that courtroom. Yeah I'm sure he will get a fair trial.

17. I couldn't agree more.
Just because our gubmint say it's so, don't make it so. Anyone else remember WMDs? The current (recurring) kerfluffle over Iran's newcuelur weapons program? The chickenhawk PNACers do as they please, every damn time.

For all I know, Manning may well have been some kid sitting at his desk doing his job when someone picked him at random to make an example of.
