Why do you think they have down talked this economy for the past year?
Half of economic recovery depends on consumer confidence....
confidence is an emotion.....and the Corporate media knows this very well.

To go from 9.8% to 8.6% in one year while dealing with a Republican congress that would rather
die than see the economy improve for an entire year is quite a feat....but as usual
Obama won't get the credit....cause he only gets full credit for shitty occurrences.....

Unfortunately, I'm the only Northeastern liberal commenting on a thread dominated by Southern Fundies and conservatives, so it's all I can do to tread water. I've asked for an explanation of how we could lose 750,000 a month under Bush -- and they were all okay with that -- while we actually post a positive number under Obama, and he's lying and is the worst president in history. I pointed out the vast differences in the 60,000 telephone Household Survey and the 400,000 Establishment Survey, which polls actual employers, not just a bunch of random households. Didn't matter, of course. What I got in response was a chart showing the data from the Household Survey, which I had even backed up with an article explaining the difference between the two. Bottom line is, they just don't want to know anything except that Obama sux. Nothing else matters to them.
