Jon Huntsman will skip presidential debate moderated by Donald Trump
Edited on Fri Dec-02-11 04:23 PM by oberliner
The conservative news magazine Newsmax announced Friday that it would co-sponsor a Republican presidential debate moderated by media personality and real estate tycoon Donald Trump on Dec. 27th in Des Moines, Ia., but they may have trouble convincing candidates to show up.

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman is the first to send his regrets.

"We look forward to watching Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich suck up to Trump with a big bowl of popcorn," Huntsman spokesman Tim Miller told Yahoo News.

1. Never mind Trump. Anyone who shows up for a Newsmax debate doesn't deserve further consideration.
And Trump is proving that once again he is basically an unprincipled whore. (unlike honest whores who at least provide value for your money)

6. The single most impressive thing any of them could have done
WHEN did Trump become GOP Pope? When did they all start bowing down to Donald Trump, it is so crazy! They should be embarrassed to be seen with the guy.

9. Good on him. I would never vote for him for office, but I'll give him credit for his sanity...
...among a field of people where such a thing doesn't exist. These days, its an out of the ordinary characteristic for any Republican to have, so I'll give him that much.

11. It will be interesting to see who if any participate. Hard to fathom Mitt or Newt would expose
themselves to the ridicule that would rightfully result.

19. He is a reasonable man
Though definitely a conservative.

It is kind of odd that he hasn't caught on while loony tunes candidates like Bachmann, Perry, Cain, and Newt have each had their moment in the sun.

To say nothing of Mitt Romney!
