I really felt for her over the past couple of weeks and respected the way that she handled herself. But when she stepped out on that stage with him today and allowed herself to be a willing part of this charade, all of my sympathy and respect disappeared. She is complicit in his foolishness.

Here's how it works.

She's already told him ... "YOU ARE TOAST" ...

She could announce the divorce now and take him to the cleaners ... but why settle for what he has now, when you can get even MORE out of him down the road ... in say 6 months or so.

This way, he "suspends" his fake campaign, and yet he keeps "running" to promote himself and his book. Plus, he's proving to the folks at Fox that he has no morals of any kind and so he'd be perfect on their stations.

Gloria will move out, or he will simply not go home anymore.

And the deal she has made ... goes like this ...

"I'll stay quiet, and pretend to trust you ... but I get half of everything you have NOW, and then, I also get HALF of everything you ever make in the future ... via books, speaking, or if you get a Fox contract, or anything else you get. And, either you make this deal with me now, or I will go on every station I can, and admit that I had my suspicions, but that loved you too much to accept that fact that you are a scum bag ... thus killing your future book and speaking tours, and any chance of getting a Fox show."

She's going to get very rich off Herm. Or at least she should. And the fact that stupid right wingers will give him money makes it that much better.

I was in a bad relationship one time. When we finally split, we were still stuck living together for two months until I could get a new place.

Over that two months, I got closure on a lot of issues that had bothered me for years. Basically read him the riot act over and over, and came to see clearly that my worst fears were true.

It was a great cleansing experience.

Unlike Mrs Cain, I didn't get any money out of the deal. Hope she does.
