Maybe not more conservative, but definitely more greedy. Also, is a moderate Republican similar to Olympia Snowe?

1. I can buy that. It's not like rich people are particularly stupid.

In fact, they're almost certainly more educated across the board. Many probably agree with the tenets of liberalism in spirit, but it's not exactly in their interests to volunteer forking cash over to the government.

2. Unfortunately more educated doesn't always translate into more intelligent. n/t

5. define educated OR intelligent
I will argue someone who is successful in a scientific field will be much smarter than someone whose education is soley in business. Those pesky "liberal arts" have a way of making someone use their critical reasoning

3. It's interesting to see how people define "Conservative"
Many people who self identify as "Conservative" will when asked about specific policies, support positions that are considered liberal.

On the other hand, when you listen to the views of today's tea-bagger republican, Richard Nixon, Bob Dole and even Ronald Reagan would be considered radical liberals.

6. Conservatism is a product of certain psychological and personality traits (or defects if you prefer)
Being rich and/or greedy in and of itself does not make a person conservative. Giving a person a billion dollars will not impel him to hate gays and oppose child labor laws.
