Obama criticizes Venezuela's rights record, ties to Iran and Cuba

By Associated Press, Updated: Monday, December 19, 11:23 AM

CARACAS, Venezuela — President Barack Obama is criticizing the Venezuelan government’s rights record and its ties to Iran and Cuba in comments to a Venezuelan newspaper.

Obama says the U.S. is concerned that actions by President Hugo Chavez’s government “have restricted the universal rights of the Venezuelan people, threatened basic democratic values, and failed to contribute to the security in the region. . . .”

6. Fun fact In January 2011, Obama asked Congress to cut fuel subsidies
by submitting a budget that cut them.

A while later, DLC stooge and Obama appointee, Goolsbee, was on The Daily Show lying about it--but Jon Stewart outed the lie. (Gotta love that.)

For the umpteenth year in a row, though, Chavez donated oil to Joe Kennedy's charity that brings home heating fuel to people in cold New England who cannot afford to pay for it.

Joe Kennedy asks every oil company for donations every year. Every year, Chavez is the only one who says yes.
