Currently it's 47.0 approval, 48.2 disapproval. On January 7th it was 47.2/47.6 - almost as many approving as disapproving.

I believe he's more popular because there are now actual Republican candidates to compare him to.

1. I think the presidential race is a slam dunk and we need to focus on Congress

And the Senate. Get more true liberals in there.

3. The DNC does not seem to give liberals a lot of support, nor does it stay neutral.

See, for example, Lieberman v. Lamont; Spectre v. Sestak and Lincoln v. Halter.

I very much tend to doubt that the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee or the Democratic House Campaign Committee have been recruiting liberals to run for office.

5. The DSCC & DCCC are for re-electing incumbents.

Electing new Democrats takes a very low priority to maintaining the status quo.
