The SCOTUS pretty much handed the Republicans a viable narrative
Edited on Fri Jun-29-12 11:42 AM by Cronus Protagonist
They were running on air, polluted air, but now? They have an issue that most of the public supports - anti-Obamacare. 52% and climbing.

They were whiffing and now they have a strike.

As to Roberts proving he's NOT an idealogue? PLEASE - that's what the media is pushing as their RIGht WING AGENDA - the narrative that the SCOTUS is balanced now? lol Since when did they turn liberal, or honest? They didn't. Robert's decision and inside manipulation of the SCOTUS was totally political. Completely. He handed his party a plum. I hope no Democratics are believing the stench of his alleged "liberal" decision.

1. Nothing about that decision was liberal, not the part that said government
can mandate that individuals to do things as long as either (a) state government is doing it; or (b) the federal government disguises things as a tax for NOT doing it and not the part that took away Congress's ability to enforce Medicaid expansion.

And it was not only Roberts who acted politically. Four Democratic appointees were with him on the mandate and two were with him on the Medicaid issue.
