OMFG!!!! He FLIP-FLOPPED!!! (so what?)
I do wish that our side would quit trying to make hay with the flip-flop meme. No one cares. The racist nut job republicans don't care if their candidate puts dogs on the roof of his car, squirrels away 90% of his money in foreign countries, gives 10% of all he earns without complaint to his church, wears awful undies, puts thousands of Americans out of work, believes God lives on a far away planet called Kolob, thinks he's going to the highest level of Heaven and will become a God of his own world after he dies and all kinds of other bullshit. And Obama's changed his positions too, as any normal human being is wont to do over time and with further education and experience. No one cares about that either.

In the face of all that, why bother with the flip-flop accusations? It's infantile finger pointing over something lacking in substance. Stop it. You look like kids whining about your sibling telling lies to mommy.

1. Romney is a corporate tool, who would destroy my fam & deserves every political jab thrown his way.
Romney’s
tax flip-flop

Mitt Romney spent last week debating himself while President Obama took the offensive on healthcare. That’s the state of the race in the wake of the Supreme Court’s bold decision to uphold the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act — and it favors the newly aggressive Obama.

Romney’s predicament is obvious — how do you attack a healthcare law concocted by the conservative Heritage Foundation, which you pioneered as governor, after it was approved by the Supreme Court’s foremost corporatist?

The GOP’s conservative base was enraged by the decision, and began screaming for Romney to take a forceful approach. A Bretibart.com headline proclaimed, “Conservatives to Mitt: Quit now if you won’t fight Obamatax.” Yet Romney and his campaign quietly dithered. Other than a short post-verdict statement, Romney was largely silent on healthcare.

Then top Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom went on TV to declare that the campaign disagreed with the court that the individual mandate was a tax — it was a penalty! After all, if Obama raised taxes with Obama-Care, so did Romney in Massachusetts with RomneyCare. They’re essentially the same law.

Thanks for stopping by with the fun message. :hi:

No one, repeat, no one in the Democratic Party is trying to convince those racist nut job republicans you speak of, who would walk through fire to vote for Mittens, to vote for Obama - they're trying to get people who aren't like you or me (politically focused), but voted for Obama in 2008, to vote again.
There's a lot of apathy amongst youth and minority voters, and if we're going to push back the scourge that is Mittens Inc. 2012, then we'll need to show voters who really don't pay much attention except to commercials, that this Mittens character is a lying, corrupt, tax dodging possible billionaire with foreign bank accounts who will say and do anything, and will continue to flip flop, to become president to serve his people... (Corporations are people, too). I'd say over a 1/3 of the close dozen+ friends I have are very uncaring about voting, so I'm sure the Dems know this, and are going to spend money doing things that many people say don't work, but are proven to work - attacking the negatives of Mittens!

2. Etch-aSketch = Funny and good ---- Flip-Flops = tired and juvenile
The accusation "flip-flopper" has become nothing more than "a bad name" that you "call someone" - "you're a flip-flopper.....you're a flip-flopper....neener neener"

The etch-a-sketch is totally out of their own mouths, it's a great metaphor and it lands.

I say ditch the flops and stick with the substantive issues.

4. How about lies whenever he thinks lying will help him get elected?
Edited on Thu Jul-12-12 09:07 AM by No Elephants
Changing your position on every issue important to your base, depending on whether you are running in Massachusetts or governing in Massachusetts or running nationally shows no one can trust anything that you say.

That means, no matter what you say, no one knows how you will govern, if elected.

And people do care about that. You should have read some conservative message boards when the primaries began
