Exclusive: Blue Dog Rep. Parker Griffith switches to GOP
Griffith plans to blast the Democratic health care bill as a prime reason for his decision to switch parties—and is expected to cite his medical background as his authority on the subject. He was one of only 11 House Democrats to vote against the stimulus. He added that if the Democratic leadership wouldn't commit to working in a more bipartisan manner, "perhaps we should look at altering that."

He said at a town hall in August that he would not vote for Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as Speaker of the House again because of her "divisive and polarizing" image.
GOP leadership is thrilled -- but not all Republicans are feeling the love. RedState founder Erick Erickson is already targeting Griffith:

That is a huge blow to Barack Obama. Griffith was an extremely endangered Democrat.

it is my fervent dream that the republican democrat scumbags will be getting lonelier and lonelier as they are outed and voted out of office for the corrupt pieces of shit they are.

11. May not legally be fraud, but there's something wrong with a guy
who gets elected as a Democrat, doesn't vote with the Dems, and then loudly switches to R before the year is even up. He hoodwinked his voters. Bait and switch.

5. Bye. He sounds useless anyway. Voted against the simulus, and wants more bipartisanship
with people like Boehner who got all his people (save Cao) on board against it... get your head out of the clouds. Adios.

12. WE know the blue dogs are republicans in hiding
why don't the people like Rahm say it also. After all just think of all the money WE give these oppostion RATS to get elected.

And I got a request again from the democrats for money. Didn't think of it but should have said go cheney themselves. But told them until they atarted supporting REAL DEMOCRATS, PROVED THEY DON'T SUPPORT BLUE DOGS, I ain't gonna give a cent and that I knew plenty of people who feel the same.
