Either this bill is good on the merits or it is not. The "You want what Nasty Person wants!" is playground mentality.

In a bill this sweeping, where not a single American citizen will be left unscathed, it is the height of irresponsibility to base one's decision or thoughts on "what the poopy heads want."

It'd be like, say, watching trillions of dollars change hands while Americans are on the hook to private corporations, and then deciding that a liberal blogger is Public Enemy Number One and must be destroyed.

I clicked the link to unsubscribe were it ask for a reason why. I told this person that I did not appreciate her racist tone of humor after reading a DK article about placing Lieberman in "Blackface". I had no idea, before reading this blog, this is the trick bag this Hamster was operating out of. Oh, in the same article, I also learned of her background in the PUMA movement.....i.e. Right Wing Idiots Against Any African-American President and with the "Blackface" picture, I was not surprised she would turn on President Obama on a dime.

1. Its not really about Jane Hamsher for me at least. Fact is, I'm not a total political junkie and visit only a few places. She isn't one of them. That said I object to what the Obama people have been doing for almost two years now; what appears to be a demand for a lack of critical thinking and a suspension of thinking in favor of "believing". The OP is an attempt to trick, ridicule and put down democratic voters; real people who actually think about issues and how the laws passed affect their lives. The "blackface" post is an attempt to intimidate people into saying the right words.

2. Due to the invasion of Obama posters into other forums I had always believed everyone needed their own space and had respected that right and not gone into the Obama forum until someone else said something over the weekend. I went, Sunday mornning I think, and saw what people there really think of people outside their little pool. It was a real eye-opener.

You want to know why DU is no longer the website that it used to be? Look at the lies being spun even after people are shown government documents, transcripts of conversations, and/or footage of interview that clearly contradict popular ideology. Big tent? Not really. I used to come here for news not shown on tv but the fact is, the current and aggressive twisting of facts to fit a pre-formed thesis has rendered that useless as well. The truth is, in order to recover from Bush II, we needed so much more than the smoke and mirrors we're getting.

Maybe it's because I grew up in Hartford and went to prep school with the children of the same asshats who run the insurance companies now and know them personally. Maybe it's because I know exactly how evil they are and have been listening to them and their protestations (No...no!
