Woman held in Hawaii after Michelle Obama threat
HONOLULU— A woman accused of telling the Secret Service she would "blow away" Michelle Obama was in federal custody Tuesday as the Obama family planned to travel to Hawaii.

Kristy Lee Roshia, 35, was charged with threatening a family member of the president and assaulting a federal agent after being arrested Saturday less than two miles from the Kailua home where the Obama family planned to stay during a holiday visit later this week.

Roshia called the Secret Service's Boston office last month and told a receptionist, "I will kill Michelle Obama" and "I will kill Marines," according to a Secret Service affidavit.

During the same call, she said she would "blow away" Michelle Obama, the document states.

A message left at the federal public defender's office in Honolulu was not immediately returned.

Roshia has a history of leaving rambling messages and sending poems, love letters and photographs of herself to the Secret Service, according to the affidavit.

As early as 2004, she told the agency that "although her mission is to assassinate the president, she has no desire to hurt him," the document states.

3. It's a shame that you have to threaten to kill the first lady in order to get medical attention.

Not much better than they treat the mentally ill
in Canada unfortunately.

Diagnose, abandon, arrest,imprison.

Unless you are schizophrenic and pull a knife
on a cop. In which case you are just executed.

All in the interests of public safety of course.

5. I threatened to kill a doctor at the VA hospital once.
He had sent me home the day before, telling me I had a mild urinary infection. At two in the Morning, I was doubled over in pain with a lodged Kidney Stone. The ride to the VA was sheer Hell. I crashed through the doors of the hospital screaming "Where is that MF doctor, I'm gonna kill his ass." Two huge orderlies grabbed me under each arm, and within minutes, I was seeing a real doctor. I spent a week in hospital and was treated wonderfully.

....and I didn't have to wait in line.

Sometimes you have to get their attention.

6. I keep telling people...
"We are a CRISIS-ORIENTED society. It's your responsibility to your doc know what's going on if your medication (for depression) isn't working. Unless you're running amok with a chainsaw in one hand and a flamethrower in the other, or asking your friends' opinion- "What do you think- does the noose make me look fat? Should I just go with the razor blade? Or maybe the pills...?" they're going to assume you're doing OK."

No, I'm NOT making fun of the mentally ill.
I deal with chronic depression myself and have 'stood on the edge and looked down' more times than I care to think about.

Think about that scene in Patch Adams. He's just buried a friend, and he's on the edge of a cliff, looking down, and says to 'God'-
"I could jump...but if I do, you're not going to catch me, are you."
Yeah. It's like THAT.

Just I try not to take myself too seriously...
