Quick call Obama receives an update

POTUS had a secure conference call this morning at 6:20 a.m. Hawaiian time, according to Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton, for an update on security measures after the failed attempt on Christmas to explode a device on an Amsterdam-to-Detroit flight.

The call was apparently short, as an earlier pool report said that the Obamas left for the gym at the Marine base for a morning workout at 6:33 a.m.

Burton said Obama spoke with John Brennan, his Homeland Security and Counter-terrorism Adviser, and Denis McDonough, National Security Staff Chief of Staff, and “received an update on the heightened air travel safety measures being taken to keep the American people safe and on the investigation.” He added that “the President will continue to actively monitor the situation.”

1. And the point for posting this is?

That once POTUS got the confirmation that not one live was in peril,
and that the Government was going to be doing their job,
as he instructed,
he went on about his business...
which wasn't to take pictures with a cake at an airport,
or fly over the airplane in an airplane,
or change the color of a warning to put the fear into millions
who are scheduled to fly in the next week,
or to read a book upside down,
or fly a bunch of folks out of the United States while closing down air space.

In otherwords, Pres. Obama is doing his job.
