1. It means there was a database error

Some of the time it is just one of those things that happens sometimes. Some of the time it means there's a problem that needs to be fixed. If I get a lot of reports on a single table then I investigate it and see if there's a problem with that table.

If you're getting that message a lot, it would help to come here and post about it (when does it happen, what are you trying to do, etc) to give me a heads up.
