14. I am anti-country "music" for a several reasons. This is one of them.

I will always remember the way in which the country community jumped on them. I understand that the DC's were never on good terms with the country establishment. Ms. Maines commentary seemed to be one more thing where the two sides would not agree. The DC's did not have the power, so their careers in country ended. Though I am not surprised, the same group of thugs (right wing religious zealots) went after the Beatles. They ended their tours for safety concerns that some backward inbred hick would go attempt to kill them.
