It's going to be hard to argue against getting guys out of Afghanistan now that Bin Laden is disposed of. And most people wanted out already. This might be enough.

15. The matter of Bin Laden's physical demise is not as important as what was done in his name.

The war was begun in his name. The war can end in his name.

That's what I believe the celebrations are really about. It's this century's version of VE Day.

Some event precipitating a beginning, another heralding an end.

The new beginning will be our people coming home and rebuilding our nation instead of destroying theirs.

Which has nearly destroyed ours as well.

I'll be just as happy to see tickertape parades of veterans coming home because it'll signify a return to peace, as much as we can get.
