...we have more Generals and Admirals than Al Queda has total fighters.

Bring our men and women home.

1. I thought about that this morning ...
George W. Bush kept trumpeting "Hey, we got the #2 in a.q. ..." (kinda like the daily special ... "Who's the #2 guy this week?")

9.5 years after Bush stood at Ground Zero and declared "Dead or Alive" (and a few months later "I just don't spend that much time on him" ...)

PRESIDENT Barack H. Obama gets THE #1 guy, THE #1 most wanted terrorist ...

2. They are done, we can repeal the patriot act, dismantle homeland security, the TSA, the
internet monitoring laws, shut down gitmo, end the wars, and bring all the troops home.

4. They Still Haven't Gotten Ayman al-Zawahiri
He's still the most dangerous...the real brains behind the operation. He's still loose and was the one who built the network Bin Laden took credit for. As long as he's still out there coordinating things, 9/11 isn't avenged and Al Queda still is a threat.

That said, the reason for our troops to be in that part of the world long expired. They should have never gone into Iraq...and now we're stuck in a quagmire against the Taliban in Afghanistan. While Al Queda were outsiders in Afghanistan the Taliban are Pushtun Afghanis who won't vanish, have no real fight with this country and apparently have enough support of the Afghan people over the corrupt dictator and drug dealer in Kabul. However, this was never a war about retribution or "terrorism"...it's a global power trip that the previous administration assured that this one would be saddled with. Here's hoping we're one day closer to when those troops do come home...but sadly bin Laden wasn't the focus here since boooosh let him escape from Tora Bora...

7. are you kidding?
there will be another "terrorist!!!" du jour.

I'm thinking qaddafi, because he has already been proven by international court that he supported the Lockerbie bomber.

While they aren't trying to "assassinate" him, they are doing the slow build to make him out that new bad guy. (let's all just ignore how the Saudi's are doing the same thing, suppressing their people, and are helping out the king of Bahrain with their fighter jets against the people).

The various powers can drag this out for as long or as short as they want.

War, it's the same old road show.
