Can I be honest about the Obama, Osama thing.....

I have incorrectly said Obama today a couple of times today when talking about Osama.

I have read and probably talked about Obama every day for the last couple of years---and the name is burned into my mind....

Not to give cover for the Wingers who do it on purpose...but, I can understand making the mistake.

I have never made that mistake. It's a curious one: why would you confuse someone's last name with someone's first name? If you use Obama's last name to refer to him, why would you use bin Laden's first name?

The normal way one refers to the former al-Qaeda leader is "bin Laden"

did this, the Prez did that - all referring to Bush. Now that our very own Democrat is President, we here at DU refer to him as Obama. I have always found it extremely irritating.

From this day forward, let's all call our President - President - instead of the Republican way of showing disrespect by calling him Obama.
