The Saudis may not like us much, but they are very protective of their own power - there have been members of the royal family arrested and even executed for their connections with the terrorists that want to overthrow them - so why would they put up with it from the bin Ladens?

The walls were bare, the bed was cheap, there were no furnishings of any kind except for bare necessities... it wasn't a mansion, it wasn't decked out with finery... it looked like the fucking ghetto, inside and out.

A three story house does not a mansion make. although the compound was located in an upscale area. A 12 foot barb-wire topped wall surrounding the "mansion".
