I'm somehow not impressed. Ten years it took.
One would think that a nation that does half of the planet's military spending could have done it quicker.

7. I'd argue Bush wasn't interested in ever really getting him or winning his wars
but rather fighting them and continuing the fear show to keep power and push his policies/ideology, either consciously or not.

It is likely we only 'got him' because Obama wanted to deal with him and likely we may see some semblance of 'progress' in Afghanistan, though doubtful, only because of President Obama.

9. Actually it only took 2-1/2 years
The first 7 no one was looking too hard. Bu$h and Cheney didn't want bin Laden dead, he was too convenient to have as a threat for their agenda.

12. You could me more closer to the truth than you may know
Bush let Osama escape f rom tora bora and maintained he didnot think of Osama that much,
The only time Busha nd the GOP remotely became concerned about terrorists, Obama and attacks were run-ups to an election.

16.  Ah.. 1and 3/4 years to get intelligence rebuilt so it works, and 9 months to
track and kill Osama bin Laden. It will take longer to get the economy in order because we have major resistance from the Corp. politicians and there flunkies, but he will do it. Then he will tackle restoring justice to US.

I have faith. He is turning the huge ship.Let's help him.

25. I think 8 years of that time
was spent letting him stay where he was...Bush didn't care and even helped him when he pulled the troops from Tora Bora to get Saddam...that was the target Bush cared about.

26. Wrong: a little over two years it took.
One would not expect anything to have been accomplished during 8 years of Dubya's incompetence.

27. Maybe Bin Laden was actually an asset to intelligence while alive?
If I knew who and where the head of a criminal org. was I would try to find out everything I could about the entire org., not just the 1 guy.

charge now and don't worry about the 7 years Bush wasted.
