Freepers Reaction to Osama being Killed is proof...
they care less about this country than their exclusive political party. Never have I read so much teeth gnashing from them, than about the need to kill Osama. Well, now according to our press and the White House he has been killed, yet these weird-ass political fanatics are more obsessed about their side than about a terrorist being killed.

1. Here's a comment from FR on the subject.
The celebration in the streets is disgraceful. It looks just like the Palestinians after 9/11, or after every time that they kill Israelis. It is always good to complete a mission, but you don’t ever celebrate a killing. It’s like celebrating an execution, because that is exactly what this was, an execution.

Un-fucking-believable.

2. Yes, I'm sure these folks would have had just a somber moment of reflection if
George Dubya had been the one to git 'im.

6. If that was a republican in the White House, that reply would probably have been found on DU
I know that sounds kinda shitty but honestly, that's just how horribly divided this country is.

Personally I don't think any excessive celebration is in order. It took us almost 10 years to find him and thousands of our soldiers and innocent civilians were killed in the process. Personnally if we had stayed out of Iraq, a country that had NOTHING to do with 9/11, we may have gotten this asshole 5-6 years ago and the troops would have long since left by now.

Obama was handed a mess with this wars. Although I was hoping our troops would be out of there by now, at least I can see justification that we kept them in there just a bit longer. Time for us to turn these operations over the the UN so they can help monitor the reconstruction of these two countries and let us bring home the bulk of our troops.

11. All of those things may be true but...
...it's STILL a fucked up thing to say. If we'd stayed out of Iraq and caught/killed bin Laden 5 or 6 years ago I'm sure that there would still be people celebrating in the street and I for one would not criticize them for it.

14. I guess in some ways I'd be happy too
I mean I am happy we got the guy. But this isn't the Unabomber, some crazed lone wolf working on his own. I mean how many times did we kill the #3 Al Qaida guy in the past 10 years and yet another guy would take over the slot.

What I do hope is with this bunker we found, and it was a MAJOR bunker, that we get enough intell to keep these terrorists on the run and unorganized.

16. I THINK that in essence what you are saying...
...is that the celebrations are premature and I'd have to agree. I don't think of bin Laden's death as necessarily the END of anything but rather as another chapter (at best) or as the beginning of more shit (at worst). I'm sure once the initial rush has worn off that the people who are celebrating will realize this but in the meantime it doesn't bother me that much and I'm certainly not all incensed about the "execution" of OBL the way this FR poster pretends to be.

22. The exact same people were screaming USAUSAUSA!
and showing off cards with pictures of Saddam's sons after they were killed. So fuck the freepers. I don't care much for the celebration myself, but at least I'm not hypocritical about it.
