Local news anchor: ‘President Obama is in fact dead’
Source: Raw Story
By David Edwards

Fox affiliate WTTG made the common mistake last night of confusing “Osama” with “Obama.”

“President Obama, speaking from the East Room of the White House, telling the nation and the world: President Obama is in fact dead,” the anchor said following President Barack Obama’s speech.

4. WTTG is not only a Fox affiliate but is owned and operated directly by Fox
Some true Fox affiliates, such as KTVU in Oakland, actually have credible local news operations (theirs predates the existence of Fox by a couple of decades).

6. That's a common mistake?
It's common to mistakenly refer to "Osama" as "President Obama"?

I could maybe understand a slip of the tongue where you say "Obama" instead of "Osama", especially if you're referring to both in the same sentence, but I have difficulty understanding how someone could refer to "Osama" as "President Obama". That's more than a tongue slip.
