Discerned this after viewing the slide show at the NYT.

But he is still SUPERMAN to me.

It looks to me like he's wearing a big windbreaker type jacket and it a spread out cause he probably has his hands on his hips or something.

If a jacket is on the chair then the photo would be showing that his arms would be cut off at the shoulders.

I just can't see what you're seeing there.
