Just made a grovelbot-free donation to DU

Why? Last night I was recording TWO shows on DVR. during a commercial break in "The Killing", I checked DU and saw the alert that "something" was to be announced, at the very first alerts by others via TV.

So cancelled one program (Borgias) and switched over for the next 2-3 hours to get the hot news, along with following DU.

DU kept up with the storm of postings and gave info on the latest from all different sources.

It also included posts of the wonderful graphics of posters and bumper stickers and quirky asides of google map "recommends" as to the compound's attractiveness as a place to visit.

DU is the BEST.

Don't wait for the grovelbot -- do it now.

3. I too found out about bin Laden from DU

I have a ton of issues with some of the stupid flamewars and ideological bullshit that goes on here, but DU is still the best place on the net bar none for breaking news.
