I joined DU in the days after 9/11

I just wanted to thank the community 10 years later for helping me and others through that time. DU was the ONLY site on the internet back then grounded in some common sense. I'm not so sure that is the case any longer, but the internet has turned into a completely different beast since then. Nevertheless, I thought of DU the moment I heard the news.

I do appreciate that. And yes, DU seemed to be the only place of sanity in what had become a mad, mad world. It is amazing how far we have come!
