Someone please help me understand freeper logic.

There are several threads on Free Republic thanking Dumbya and giving him credit for killing bin Laden. Despite the fact that Bush has been out of office for over two years now, and even made a statement about how finding bin Laden was not a priority for him.

These same Freepers, however, blame Clinton for 9/11 even though Clinton had been out of office for months and Dumbya was warned of the attacks a month before they happened.

Someone explain freeper logic to me, because I sure as hell don't get it.

3. I cannot even try to get into their minds (scary place to be sure), but

I have been hearing the argument all day. From what I am able to decipher, Obama stayed with the same policies that Bush had originally set up. Since it was these "policies" that were responsible for getting bin Laden, it was Bush who should get the credit.

At least, this is what they are trying to tell me.

5. It was a stretch

to credit Teddy Roosevelt or Nixon or Nancy Reagan for getting ObL. Poppy kicked ass in Iraq I. Therefore it could only be Dubya.

But it was Lincoln's fault that Obama got elected. But that was only because Republicans were Democrats back then.

Clinton on the other hand was clearly responsible for the 911 attacks. But so (to a slightly lesser degree) were LBJ, JFK, FDR, Woodrow Wilson and a few others. George Washington only did good stuff like plant cherry trees because he wore a really cool hat.

I hope that clears things up for you.

Tell a lie often enough and more people will come to believe it.

Witness the Sadaam was behind 9/11 concept that so many came to believe.

Or the "global warming is just a theory" concept Exxon Mobil and others purchased with millions of dollars of expert PR.

Or "the private sector will always do better regulating itself" in spite of BP, war profiteering and our for-profit health insurance system that bankrupts so many and leaves millions desperately uninsured.
