Social Security , Chile, & Fighting Lies
Glowing comments about Chile's privitized social security keep popping up in newspaper columns, like this from Ross Mackenzie. "If head-scratching pols are looking for a way out of the Social Security swamp, Chile has a suggestion. Privatize it. Thirty years ago, on the advice of Nobel economist Milton Friedman, Chile became the first country to privatize its national pension system. Today, Chile's system is rocking along with wild popularity...."

I am working on a LTE response to this gem, and, in return for the frequent anti- everything e-mails I get from conservative friends & relatives, I will be sharing this site with them:

Hope you find it useful too.

As far as Chile - some additional good sites are:

Happy New Year!
