British Prime Minister David Cameron doesn't want to see gay people kissing on TV

AJ Allen 02 May 11 - Reports in British newspapers today suggest that Prime Minister David Cameron is in favour of restricting same-sex kissing on television to late night adult viewing. If reports are true, straight people would still be able to kiss and fondle before the 9pm watershed.

Currently the main UK tv soaps: Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks all have lesbian and gay characters as well as gay couples. This has enraged Brooke Vincent aka lesbian character Sophie Webster who tweeted: ‘I swear David Cameron’s meant to be supporting equality rights. I just think if same sex kisses are what he is prioritising and concentrating on changing, our country’s in trouble.’

Last year Cameron warned that exposing youngsters to adult themes can ‘take away their innocence.’ Radical government plans are to stop children being exposed to ‘indecent’ images. ..............(more)
