Something subconsciously very disturbing...
There is a time for everything. A time to laugh, a time to cry.

In my opinion, it is a natural human reaction to rejoice at the death of someone who himself has caused so much grief and death.

But somewhere in the deepest recesses of our mind, there is an impulse to stop and think. Should we be in a celebratory mood? What happens next? Is there a reaction to every action? What happens when the other shoe drops? Who will we sacrifice next in this passion play?

I think we should weigh our thoughts very carefully. I do believe that what we sow, so shall we reap. There are unforeseen dangers around the corner.

I worry about the safety of our President. And events are not always as they seem.

2. Well you're right to be concerned about our President
After all, he just put a big old bullseye on his own back and that of his family. On the other hand, he's kind of used to bull'seyes on his back.

He's got to be target number one of jihad now.

4. Oh, please.
Bin Ladin sowed death and he reaped death. Everyone knows what he did and we know what justice looks like.

And all I can think is that I hope the message goes out to every other spoiled, entitled rich boy: One down.

8. You think celebrating Bin Laden's death is what puts a target on Obama?
Really?

As if they weren't going to go after him but then saw college girls celebrating in front of the White House and then though, hmmm, not sure I like those Americans now?

9. I thought the same thing...
Not that we weren't all in some danger before, but this has given AQ a reason to really step up the number and severity of attacks.

I also realized that they would probably be somewhat annoyed with Obama, to put it mildly. In the end, he's the one who gave the final "go ahead" for the completion of this mission.

As we've seen, AQ is capable of waiting a long time before pulling some sort of terrorist act. They are patient. If they can't do it now, then they will wait. And I don't think they would stop at action against Obama. I think they would try to get back at him through his family. That right there would probably be the worst "punishment" they could inflict on him.

I would be looking over my shoulder forever, and paranoid about my family being in danger. :(

10. I'm glad someone else sees how disturbing this is.
It's terrible, because we honestly do not know as a population what dangers our leaders have unilaterally and dictatorially subjected us to.

It may be as bad as our nation assassinating the leader of a nation with NBC weapons. And they didn't ask us.

Obama will be OK. It's you and I and the rest of America I worry about. He's got all the security you could get.

But I bet you don't.

12. This speaks for me.
"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Would be just as happy if he was captured alive in US custody. I'm just happy he's gone. He shot at us, we shot at him, he died.
