Brian Williams is really pi$$ing me off on Letterman . . .
He's defending Bush's reading of My Pet Goat on 9/11 and the "interrogations" at Gitmo. What is with him anyway? What a self-promoting douche bag he is morphing into.

He's no Cronkite or even Rather that's for sure. He's acting like a lightweight frat boy - no wonder he's shilling for his soulmate Bush. Yuk.

1. He sure did. As if GW is capable of pretending putting on a fake face.
Williams isn't morphing. He has been that way for a while.

Did you catch where he talked about the call he received and the details he provided? And that he carries his passport with him? It sounds like he has to make sure everyone knows how important of a bastard he is to everyone.

2. Are you talking about "Shoulders"? He always positions himself
so his shoulder look even wider, manly I guess.

I remember watching him from an undisclosed, safe location in Egypt reporting crazy shit about the "spontaneous" uprising and the scary, scary part the Mooooooslum Brotherhood was playing.

I had been watching Al Jazeera English since I learned how to stream it from some smart Du'er. What was happening was spontaneous only that all the planning for three years congealed on the 25th of January, and the major force in the uprising was the 6th of April Youth Movement. I remember thinking that Shoulders need to do some real research, or watch Al Jazeera English.

Last time I watch network news from any of the networks. (I do not have cable, but I understand that they were as clueless.)

3. I don't watch network news either . . .
so Williams' act was new to me. I just find it hard to believe that, even now, the networks are giving Bush so much credit for his disastrous reign of stupid, tamping down anything Obama accomplishes while puffing up the vacuous W. The two don't belong on the same playing field.

It's bad enough that every Republican hack in the world is shilling for Bush. When the supposed news people join the chorus, it's absolutely nauseating. Nobody, but nobody, is calling the Bushies on their revisionist history.

How do I get this Al Jazeera English? All this fake news is making me ill.

5. Thanks.
That's better. Real news - just the facts, no egos.

6. Do you have a Roku unit. My Roku unit streams it to my tv.
I also get Democracy Now, Rachel Maddow, RT, and France 24, among others.

http://www.roku.com

I think you can do it with other steaming players. I am just not sure which.

I had the Big Ugly Dish since 1990, so I did not have the networks, but I had CNN, MSNBC, and SaudiFox. In December, Motorola shut down the BUD. I had the choice of Dish or Direct, cable being unavailable. Paying so much to get a bunch of junk, and paying more to get what I wanted did not interest me. So, I got a booster antenna and a Roku.

For the first time in twenty years, I received network new$. I watched in disbelief. I had a twenty year gap, and a reference point twenty years old. OMG. What a bunch of ego-centric, celebrity obsessed empty suits. After a month, I started ignoring them. The news does not revolve around them. That's my take anyway.

15. We have been happy with it. My friend and I started what has
unofficially become the 25%'ers club. We are 1st and 2nd year boomers. We started helping pensioners reduce their bills by up to 25% without affecting comfort levels. Multimedia is the first thing we attack. Cable (TV, phone, internet) is $167 here with another $40 for cell. With Roku and a booster antenna for over the air network TV, we can get it down to about $75. With a cheaper cell, we can shave more.

We introduce vegetable gardening is small spaces, and next Monday, we are installing a timer on the water heater for a widow. She will get one tank (fifty gallons) of hot water a day, heated at a non-surge time.

If you get it and like it, remember to pass it on.

:hi:

9. There IS no defense for Bush staying in the classroom
Our country is under a major attack and he sits there for 7 minutes staring into space??? Obama would have immediately excused himself and taken charge of things. To use the kids as an excuse is inexcusable. As a retired teacher I can tell you the kids wouldn't have been upset, especially if their teacher got them involved in another activity.

14. I call him eyebrows...
for obvious reasons, I think... he seems more concerned with emoting than the content of his words:
