CNN Poll: 63% of Americans Oppose The War In Afghanistan
Poll conducted Dec 17-19 2010. Buried way down in their Political Ticker page. Old CNN can't break this as front page, but at least its out there.
Be nice to hear Mr. Spitzer get on this. Somebody. Anybody!

4. If you look at the tracking data
and allow for the 3% margin of error, I'd say we've been at 60% opposing since last May. The most recent assessment of the war last month, also buried in the news, was that we can't even hope to begin to pull out until 2015. When are we just going to pull the plug on this thing!!??

8. Funny, isn't it
that 60% is filibuster proof in the US Senate. But 60% of the public doesn't amount to diddly squat.

12. Sill rabbit! Public opinion only matters when it supports shenanigans of the wealthy
If the public believes something out of step with the beltway or the wealthy then we are quickly are reminded about "mob rule", how we are a "Constitutional Republic not a democracy", or any number of distractions away from the relevancy of the public will.
