1. none of above. i see it as an opportunity for a stronger reaching out, working together
having a better relationship. i see it as an opportunity to help pakistan be a better nation. i think that is what they are working towards, and this event gives them an opportunity to accomplish this goal with u.s. helping

The ISI, the Pakistani secret service, certainly doesn't seem inclined to improve relations.

"It's fairly well known that the ISI has a longstanding relationship with the Haqqani network," he (Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Michael Mullen) said in an interview with Pakistan's daily Dawn newspaper. "Haqqani is supporting, funding, training fighters that are killing Americans and killing coalition partners. And I have a sacred obligation to do all I can to make sure that doesn't happen.

3. the pres is fighting a huge battle from within. also pakistan has capture more terrorists
significantly, by far, than any other country at a great expense to themselves.

4. So Zardari cannot or will not control the ISI
and truly had no idea that bin Laden was living in a barbed wire compound a short distance from the military academy?

6. No, we really can't ask them to prove a negative - that they didn't know
Still, it strains credulity to believe he was situated in a densely populated area, near military bases and academy and the capital, with nobody the wiser.

Sarah Chayse spoke of seeing ISI operating within Afghanistan in support of the Taliban. I have to believe the least we can do is withhold further financial aid without demonstrated steps by Pak leadership to, at the very least, cease the support by ISI of the Haqqani network and the Taliban. This isn't merely a suspected relationship, but has been longstanding knowledge by the CIA.

7. Land was bought, title was transferred, permits were issued,
contractors and tradesmen were hired, water and sewer and electricity were connected to public lines, and utility bills generated and paid.

With complete anonymity as to whom would or did reside there.

There are lots and lots of leads to follow here if authorities in Pakistan care to do so.

Ultimately, you need to know who the real party in interest is in order to know how big of a bribe you should be taking.
