Palin credits Bush, not Obama for Bin Laden kill
AKEWOOD — Less than 24 hours after the world learned Osama bin Laden was dead, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin took the stage at Colorado Christian University to headline a group of speakers who paid tribute to American troops and hailed the killing of the world's most-wanted man.

"Their courage and their determination brought us justice," Palin said of those who hunted the terrorist figurehead for nearly 10 years. "They know that freedom isn't free. It's a God-given right and worth fighting for."
Palin never mentioned President Barack Obama by name — instead saying, "We thank President (George W.) Bush for having made the right calls to set up this victory."
The death of the man Palin called "the public face of Islamic terrorism" struck a recurring chord throughout "Tribute to the Troops," which had been in the works long before bin Laden's death.

2. Of course she did.
She's incapable of giving credit where it's due...small people seldom do.

4. Does anyone really care what that idiot thinks? Why is the media even covering her opinion, she
is nothing.

Her 15 minutes of fame have come and gone, can the media start dealing with real issues already

6. Palin will say anything to get news coverage
People have been ignoring her so she needs to say something outrageous to get the attention she craves. Next she'll say God told her to give Bush credit.

8. She's just so petty
It's not a leadership quality. In a time where the country should come together she's out there trying her best to be divisive. statements like this come across as being immature and stupid.

It's really pretty pathetic.

Edited on Tue May-03-11 10:30 AM by Renew Deal
Sending 15K soldiers to Afghanistan and letting the "Northern Alliance" do the dirty work.
Giving up on the search
Invading the wrong country
Giving up again in 2006
And much much more.

14. Yep, Bush made "the right calls,"
like:

* invading the wrong country
* allowing bin Laden to get away at Tora Bora
* mocking Barack Obama for suggesting tactical raids within Pakistan.

27. True, for the bad things they blame Clinton or Obama
Edited on Tue May-03-11 12:57 PM by Jack Rabbit
Which means that Clinton must have been president when al-Qaida attacked the Twin Towers and Pentagon and that that Obama must have been president during the 2008 Wall Street meltdown.

This seems to suggest that Bush was never president. That's something I maintained ever since the 2000 coup d'etat.

26. It ALMOST would be worth the price of admission to attend one of Scarah's
speeches, and yell from the back of the audience during a few moments of silence while Palin stops spewing momentarily to check her "palm" notes, or to take a breath.."WHAT ABOUT OBAMA, SARAH??" and see how/if she would react and respond...

28. Little known to many here
GW actually traveled by military Segway across thousands of miles to conduct this mission. Arriving under cover of darkness, he challenged the guard to a "scissors/paper/rock" contest and won, gaining entrance to the compound, The rest is his story.

Or so the 19 Percenters, Faux and crazy Sarah would say.

29. I remember a bit of a cartoon
...from when I was a kid. Can't remember the exact cartoon but it was probably one of the looney tunes or merry melodies cartoons.

Anyway, in the bit that I remember, someone puts a yappy little dog outside and slams the door. All you can see is the little dog through the window that has been shut outside jumping up and down and yapping, but you can't hear a thing. It yaps furiously but it is totally ignored.... I don't know why I thought of that just now.
