American journalism has been mostly co-opted by corporate interests and, more often than not, docilely submits to self-censorship on their behalf. Motivated citizens need to step into the breach and objectively report their findings without deference to any agenda.

They have 5 more ward to run through the counter in the morning and all will be done.

Tomorrow will make eight very long days of 10-12 hours not counting travel time. But it was far more interesting that most would think and very enlightening.

I'd do it again.

I can't say enough about the openness, courtesy and hard work of the Marathon County Clerk, Nan Kottke. She and her canvass board were terrific. Even the Prosser people were friendly and generally easy to work with.

We all wanted the same ends - a clean and fair recount.

Both of these locations are about 2 hours from home, so he hasn't been home much. He's not a DUer, and seeing as how he's in Milwaukee right now, I'll have to drink the toast alone. :beer:

I'm looking forward to a post-recount party somewhere...:party: ...well, anywhere except WalkerPshaw!

I've been north of the Chedar curtain on 4 weekends helping in gathering signatures for the recalls...predeominately Alberta Darling. I met a lot of wonderful people working hard to win their state back...fighting the cold and the intimidation by the Kockroaches. A big hat tip to all who've walked the walk...and the job is just beginning. We've got some big recalls that need funding and more boots on the ground. The time to celebrate is after Walker is recalled and sanity is restored to America's Dairyland. There's still a lot of work to do...
