What George Carlin said was not universally true when he first said that. The people who volunteered as Right to Lifers also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, at school, donated time and money to homeless shelters and in daycare centers.

Generally speaking, generalizations are not always accurate. At least that used to be true. Now, I dunno. I was brought up by a dad who said that all Christians were stupid or hypocrites or both, so when I rebelled against my parents in the 1980s I became a conservative. Maybe dad wasn't so wrong.
