1. My Boy Jack

2. Yes, I'm sitting in my office with some WWI items.....

some given to me when I was a boy.

3. in middle school my teacher had a minor in WWI history

so we were well taught before high school on it. listened to a WPR college class on air on the poetry that i really enjoyed. one of the things i look for at estate sales in WWI stuff. i got an anniversary medal/ribbon pre-WW2 that is very neat. but i mostly get old photos.
BUT THE BEST THING was a well read copy of 'they said we wouldn't fight' by floyd gibbons. i HIGHLY recommend reading it. early embedded reporter. it sort of got rah rah after he was woundd and recounts the ending battle, but i really enjoyed it.
