War on Reagan.
Edited on Mon Jan-03-11 11:27 AM by WingDinger
I have proposed for some time, a war on Reagan. In fact, I have instigated many skirmishes. All this quiet conventional wisdumb has bit us in the ass for thirty years. I say we go at it hammer and tong. Allowing him to fester in the greedy heart of those wanting a moral justification for screwing all countrymen but themselves hasn't made a dent.

Never mind allowing them a champion, and giving him his supposed due. He was a dumbass, and his/Rand's junk is toxic. Leave the supposed center right meme in place, at the peril of any future.

I say, enough with the kindly Gipper, and caring grandfather shtick. Unmask the beast, and ruin his legacy. It is past due. All the putrid social bowel movements have their root in him. Outsourcing, hating the poor, environmental extreme neglect, ignoring infrastructure, phony ranch posturing, trickle down prosperity, religious right, imperial presidency,B movie actor pols, budget busting empire, all are his babies, and that bathwater is the same swill Norquist intends to drown us in.

I want angry protest at what he hath wrought. But for thirty years, I get yawns.

Screw Reagan. Yeah, I said it.

1. I remember back when he got Alzheimer's
and I was reading it while waiting for a class in college. I started laughing out loud and a girl asked me what was so funny. I told her and she was taken aback by my reaction. I told her his fate was completely deserved from my point of view and she needed to educate herself on his actual legacy before giving him any further attention. Whether or not you agree that his fate was amusing, in light of the horrors he has unleashed upon our country and the world at large, is your choice. I still say the fucker got what was coming to him. Sad day for him.

2. Don't forget how he stabbed his friends in the back during McCarthyism.
It shows what a loser this guy really was. Additionally, he took his own "welfare checks" from GE to criticize fictional welfare queens. Ronald Reagan is the kind of low-character villain that he pretended to be against in his films. It is a Greek Tragedy that he became what he said he most despised.
