4. Big difference, imo.

Usually, the so called "dissidents" are on some US payroll or another. Very much like the Cuban so called dissidents who get their funding from USAID, NED, IRI, as well as a gaggle of private RW funders (like Richard Mellon Scaife, for example).

Cuba does have domestically created non foreign funded political opposition, but they are completely ignored by the MSM and in their stead are the fake dissidents who kowtow to US policy on Cuba. When they are busted for being unregistered agents of a foreign enemy state, the US media/gov cry foul over Castro's repression. (Never mind that the US busts persons for being unregistered foreign agents also, and might even classify them as terrorists --> www.freethefive.org ).

5. Well seeing as how wikileaks actually *was* founded in part by Chinese dissidents
that comment is especially ironic.

6. Not really. Interesting associations.
The site claims to have been "founded by Chinese dissidents, journalists, mathematicians and start-up company technologists, from the US, ...

7. I think you did some unfortunate snipping there... this DOES make it all the more ironic.

From wikipedia.com (bold usage mine - MFM):
.
The organisation describes its founders as a mix of Chinese dissidents, journalists,
mathematicians, and start-up company technologists from the United States, Taiwan,
Europe, Australia, and South Africa.
