The Rove/Assange Story Hits the International Press in Sweden
The story of Karl Rove's likely connection to the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been picked up by a major news site in Sweden. We are pleased to say that our work here at Legal Schnauzer played a part in an important story going global.
...............

"Karl Rove hjälper Reinfeldt att hantera Julian Assange"

Here is the English translation of the Rove/Assange story. The translation from Swedish to English apparently is not seamless, so the wording is rough in some places:

http://legalschnauzer.blogspot.com/2011/01/roveassange-story-hits-international.html

Karl Rove helps Reinfeldt to manage Julian Assange: According to sources at the Huffington Post, Bush's right-hand man, Karl Rove, helped the Swedish government to handle the case Julian Assange.
http://nyheter24.se/nyheter/inrikes/506982-karl-rove-hjalper-reinfeldt-att-hantera-julian-assange

STOCKHOLM/WASHINGTON--The Republican strategist Karl Rove made his name worldwide as an advisor to President George W. Bush. He helped him to become governor of Texas and then also president of the United States.

In addition, norskättade Karl Rove since the 80s also acted as advisor to the Swedish Moderate Party--the only foreign party as "the king of spin" brag about to his credit.

According to several tasks hired Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt also Rove to help moderates win the 2010 election. These data, however, denied by the Moderates former party secretary Per Schlingmann--now Secretary of State in the Prime Minister with responsibility for communications.

Now accused Karl Rove of being behind the Swedish government's campaign to get Wikileaks founder and editor, Julian Assange, extradited here. In order to then hand him over to the U.S.--where a spy prosecutions threaten Assange.

3. The article released to the Guardian was so Rovian
Allegations with no substantiation. Unnecessary lurid details, as in the Kenneth Starr witch hunt of Clinton designed NOT to make a legal case, but to denigrate and smear the target. I would not be at all surprised to know that Rove was advising those out to silence Wikileaks.

However, the world is weary of these old tactics and it seems to have back-fired.

Btw, where are the charges from the Swedish prosecutors?

53. As someone that ...
has lived in close proximity to the Bush clan and has frequently encountered folks dealing with them (oil bidness, military, some social events here in Houston)....there is so much dirt on BFEE. Rove and 'conciliara' James Baker have had a full time job purging records. If just a fraction of what has been done is outed, no Bush would ever get a government position, let alone be elected as dog catcher.

I hope it comes to light-I just have some facts and casual conversations with some wittinesses, no names taken or public quotes given. But I would trust Julian to have them!

60. Actually...
Wikileaks and the subsequent water shed has given me more hope than I have had in a while.

Case in point: The selection of the Man of the Year. The peoples poll indicated Julian Assange, Time editorial staff chose Steve Zuckerberg of Face Book. The real story was not Steve but that Time (a hard news mag) went against the people's choice and opted for fluff.

American's are slowly starting to realize they are being lied to.

25. Rove's friend, the Swedish PM who he helped get elected
(I wonder how he managed that), is known as the 'Reagan of Europe'.

Rove went to Sweden to hide when he was wanted for questioning by Congress in U.S. Attorney Firings.

This whole case was fishy from the start. Rove being involved would explain an awful lot about why.

74. I sure hope the people of Europe
will throw them out. But I fear the C.I.A. working on behalf of corporations might take steps to undermine the true results of European elections just as they have in the banana republics for many decades. Remember there is a actual "domino theory" at work here. They only need to topple one democracy at a time with more benign forms of fascism until they achieve their true goals. The worst one can imagine about these people falls far short of their actual level of evil.

77. You're right about how they have worked in the past. But
Edited on Wed Jan-05-11 03:37 PM by sabrina 1
they were able to do that because it was all done in secrecy. With Wikileaks exposing the influences on their governments now, it does change the dynamics somewhat. I think that many people's eyes will be opened as to who is working for them and who is not. Hopefully that will cause the people to demand that their elections are conducted without interference from foreign governments.

Eg, in Iceland, the people have already thrown out their Global Catitalist-friendly government, and have in fact begun investigations of some of those leaders. They have taken over their banks and when Wikileaks exposed corruption on one of those banks, investigations began there also.

Iow, the current government of Iceland is working now for the people. They are rejecting 'austerity' programs meant to make the little people pay for the corruption of the elites and are introducing legislation to 'forgive debt' to those who were forced into fore-closure.

Maybe they are the canary in the goldmine. They were the first to collapse and when the people realized what their government had gotten them into, they threw them out. They are the first to begin to recover. Hopefully other countries will follow their example.

At least that is what I am hoping for ~

Anyone who's read Naomi Klein can readily attest to the fact that Uncle Miltie's minions have spread disaster capitalism quite handily throughout the world. Perhaps Sweden is about to experience the shock and awe of disaster capitalism. (I am only just past halfway through the book, so forgive me if I'm predicting an event that's already occurred...)

fairly popular there. Just like Reagan! :-(

Otoh, now that they are learning a bit more about who helped get him elected, they might be watching what he does a bit more carefully. I've read that the goal of the Global Corps is to destroy Europe's Social Society, and it looks like they're really working on it right now, in country after country.

I have been around long enough to know that some :tinfoilhat: theories have a way of becoming true. This whole Assange rape case charges had Rove's chubby little fingerprints on it from day one. I just wondered how long it would be before the facts finally surfaces. The M$M here went for the salacious instead of the facts and one had to go to the foreign press to even get the basic facts in order to form an opinion.

I think it is safe to say 98% of our media is nothing but Pravda in its prime.
