What is the CNN anchor's problem with Jerry Brown?
Edited on Mon Jan-03-11 04:20 PM by RandySF
Jerry Brown was sworn in today and every time the current CNN mentions his name, she snickers like she's back in high school. What is her problem?

1. She has her orders.
CNN is a big, steaming pile of dung, as far as I can tell.

4. Many in the press call Jerry Brown, "Governor Moonbeam"
<snip>
Brown proposed the establishment of a state space academy and the purchasing of a satellite that would be launched into orbit to provide emergency communications for the state —- a proposal similar to one that was indeed eventually adopted. In 1979, an out-of-state columnist, Mike Royko, then at the Chicago Sun-Times, picked up on the nickname from Brown's girlfriend at the time, Linda Ronstadt, who was quoted in a 1978 Rolling Stone magazine interview humorously calling him "Moonbeam".<31><32> A year later Royko expressed his regret for publicizing the nickname,<33> and in 1991 Royko disavowed it entirely, proclaiming Brown to be just as serious as any other politician.
<end of snip>

9. Some of us still do...but I supported and donated to him as well
I consider it his call sign and once bestowed, they are yours for life.

5. I snicker when I talk about him, too, and when I think of him as governor.
It's an affectionate snicker, meaning roughly "Way to go, Governor." But it's a snicker. :)

6. Watching CNN does nobody any good. I feel much better since I turned
that gut-wrenching trash off months ago. IMO, you should do the same. FOX lite is all they are.

8. I understand but it just finally wore me down and started to have a negative
effect on my life force and bodily humors. I just got angry everytime I watched the smarmy tools. Hopefully you are made of sterner stuff. If not, turn it off.
