The more I hear of this story, complete with the snide remarks about the powerful getting their comeuppance, the stinkier it gets. This promises to be quite the media circus for weeks to come. :popcorn: I think it is going to have more twists and turns than a Six Flags roller coaster. You know, it's not that hard to set people up in third world banana republics (and yes, I DO mean the U.S. of A.) and toss them into the clink until everyone forgets about them. If a real detective was on the case, he could start off with Strauss-Kahn's phone log for the last month and make a list of those he pissed off and those who stand to gain from his political demise. Sounds like it was taken chapter and verse from the Book of Rove.

He is entitled to be presumed innocent by the court in which he is tried. I am not required to presume a god-damned thing.

But, to investigate this alleged crime, the room, the victim, the accused, the hotel security videos, and whatnot will likely bear more fruit in the way of determinIng what happened than looking a his old cell phone calls.

we emailed today over DSK as she says everyone refers to him over there. She said the French are pretty crazed over the entire thing...she personally cannot stand the scum, as she called him. I asked her how the French were reacting to the Americans arresting DSK and holding him without bail. She said, "LOL...the French are very quiet about the American action against him. That should tell you everything!"

By the way, my friend is Scottish, but has lived in Paris for over twenty years.
