How the media is spinning Ahnold's indiscretion(s)
Local NBC news(readers) are on while I get ready for work. For the past half hour they have repeated the day's lead stories at least three times in the past half hour while they have only offered a "tease" re: Schwarzenegger. The tease: "Did something that former gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger did ten years ago lead to the demise of his marriage?" The kicker? They have not communicated anything else about Ahnold while all other stories (and the weather) have been repeated over and over.

Veddy interesting...

1. A whole segment was just aired on the Today Show, along with shrinks. No real details
yet except that the woman worked for them for 20 years and left their employ in January.

8. Not only Maria..how about her children? They probably know their half-sibling
and never had a clue. It's all ugly.

So this pig could become president. And they were dead serious about it too.

10. Didn't the "liberally-biased media" have all those reports of Ahnold's
indiscretions, but decided to ignore them ...

but hey, John Edwards ... Oooh! He fathered a love child! He's politically toast!

6. Convenient for Arnold
that he made this revelation and display of contrition AFTER he left office. So while running for governor he had already been involved and fathered the child. The woman involved too seems to be a bit of an opportunist, deciding to "retire" after pretending the kid was her husband's, getting kept by her employer and screwing (metaphorically) Maria.

12. As far as we know, Arnold didn't pay the mom off with campaign
funds. Allegedly, I should add, since Edwards' trial hasn't played out yet.

Edited to add: He did pay her a large amount of money from his campaign to take about 20 minutes of film. That's a fact.

15. I was referring to Arnold
but as to the film issue, I frankly don't see it. He overpaid for a film. If every bad decision that a campaign made became fraud then nearly all politicians would be in jail.

16. Grossly overpaid to the woman who happened to be his
mistress. Don't you think that raises red flags?

17. I don't see how it matters
She produced a product, he used the product, he paid for the product. I can't see how we can have the government deciding after the fact what is or isn't too much to pay for the product.
