Just Got A Call From Bohner!

I wasn't planning on posting, but while I was perusing the topics here on DU the phone rang and it was none other than Speaker Bohner calling with an important message! I was going to hang up but I sensed an opportunity for some laughs. I'll post the bullet points of the message so I don't forget:

-After years of endless liberal policies, we are hopelessly in debt.
-Obama wants to ruin the health care system of our country once and for all.
-He's sending his "cronies" back to Chicago to raise $1 billion so he can try to fool the country into thinking everything is fine.
-Obama wants to tax Americans into submission.
-The democrats agenda of the last decade have our nation on the brink of disaster.
-We need to stop his job-killing radical environmental agenda
-Meanwhile, the republicans are hard at work with an historic common sense budget proposal and policies designed to stop Obama and get America back on the right track.
-Speaker Bohner needs MY help to derail Obmama's liberal/socialist agenda. (I feel so useful!)

After the message I got to speak with one of Bohner's "assistants" who asked me if I would be willing to help with a donation to the Republican National Committee. I got to ask him how many years of that last decade did the republicans control Congress and the White House. He said "thanks for your response" and hung up. There was so much more I wanted to ask!

I want to know what alternate universe do these people live in? Was I really sleeping from 2000-2008? There were a couple of other "great points" the speaker was trying to make, I should have written them down. I guess I'll be off their calling list from now on. Pity, good laughs are few and far between these days.

1. You can have more fun going after them from the right...

"Why did Speaker Boeher say we should cut oil subsidies?"

"Why won't the Republicans pass a law to allow creationism in schools?"

"Will the House inspect President Obama's birth certificate to determine if it's a forgery?"

ON the one hand, they won't want piss off a likely GOP voter; on the other hand, they won't want to get stuck with an embarassing position to have to defend.

I wish I could have done my best Tea Party impersonation. (I live in an area infested with them) I could have just read from the nasty anonymous letter one of my wonderful neighbors left in my mailbox after I put an Obama lawn sign up two years ago. Full of nice personal attacks on me and the president -to-be.

He never showed. Only his staff are there and then for 15 min top. Sounds like your phone call lasted longer than any of these open doors

had that perky sound of a true believer. When I asked about who was in charge for most of the last decade it was almost like you could hear the alarms at republican central go off! Danger! Danger Will Robinson. Liberal on the phone! Terminate all contact!

Their boss. I just hope the people in this district will see the truth at last. I am probably dreaming on count since this district is so gerrymandered, but I can hope.

So many still like Bush and McCain. Unreal how the media brainwashes folks.
