Body of toddler Skyular Logsdon found in Joplin morgue
The remains of Skyular Logsdon, a 16-month-old who disappeared during the tornado Sunday in Joplin, were identified at a morgue there on Wednesday evening, a family member said.

The search for Skyular, who was ripped from his mother’s arms by the storm, attracted national attention.

The little boy’s great-uncle made the identification, said Rhonda Brewer, the stepmother of the child’s uncle. Skyular’s father was recently released from the hospital, and his mother is still being treated.

4. How terribly sad.
Natural disasters have no reason or consciousness. They just are. We are just creatures on a planet where very violent things happen, and we are quite powerless to protect ourselves completely from those things.

My thoughts go out to all who have lost their lives, their homes, or anything in natural disasters. Life is so random...

8. So many people died
in the tornado there, and elsewhere around the Midwest. My heart goes out to all of their loved ones. I hope that they can pick up their lives somewhere along the line--it can't be easy to do it most of the time.

9. I can't imagine what that poor mother must be feeling.
To have your child taken by tornado is something that will haunt her for the rest of her life.
