Yes, America is the best - why won't the right wing believe that, why do they think we suck?

Pick one of our allies - Canada, UK, France, etc.

Our military would kick their butts. We have the best planes, weapons, navy, etc.

Space?
We own mars. We went to the moon. We have probes (Voyager) still flying high and sending back data, hubble, space shuttles, we left them in the dust.

They have a military and space programs and satellites - but we blow em all away.

But.....

The rw believes that if we adopted a single payer system, had a govt run health care system it would be terrible.

They point to our allies and say 'See, theirs has flaws' and hold up their programs as reasons why we cannot do the same here.

Govt run military and space programs? We are the best - but they believe we are not able to lead the world and have the best in that case.

Why is it when it comes to caring for others we don't think we can do better than other countries? I believe we can make a better system to help us all, I believe we can create a health care system and a system that helps those most in need that would blow away anything our allies have.

The rw thinks America sucks and would screw it all up - because they think we suck compared to other countries.

Me - I think we could lead the world in yet another area, it just takes getting people elected who believe in we the people.

Rich or poor we all chip in for these other programs and we are the best. I will gladly chip in for health care for all (and did I mention we have some of the best law enforcement and fire fighters in the world - also 'social' programs we all pay for?)

So ask a RW'er who they think has the best space, military, police, firefighters, first responders in the world - and then ask if those things are private or govt run.

I believe in the melting pot of people in this country and their abilities to create great things to rival those of any country on earth - why do the rw'ers think Americans cannot do better?

It's really quite simple if you just remember that.

A publicly financed military and a publicly financed space program benefit their corporate benefactors, so "rah rah USA!"

Publicly supplied universal insurance would most definitely not benefit the insurance companies, and would very likely hurt the profits of pharmaceutical companies, so "the government is incompetent and can't do anything right!"
