Right wing media people never have to do public penance for far more vile utterances.

That is not to condone what Shultz may have said. It is not to excuse it. It is not suggest tit for tat.

It is to simply point up, once again, the inequality that exists between the right (media ownership) and the left (media outsiders).

6. So...we should aspire to be just like them?
Because they can get away with it (for now)?

I'll pass.

And if Ed Schultz had accused a Black President of not really being an American he'd still be on the air.

4. You said it better then me.
It is using a topic people can feel viscerally, for another reason.

It is targeted justice. Which is not justice.

5. Weird, I just tried to email a comment regarding this
about Ed Schultz and I included in my comments that I found it curious that coded racism about our President, misrepresented facts and name calling was allowed by other hosts and pundits on their network with no accountability. Yet, it seems only the liberal leaning members of the network were disciplined for overreaching in their speech. It seems that I could not submit it under the subject matter of the Ed Show. I guess they don't want any comments.

9. They didn't want to hear from the public when Olbermann was
gone either. They made it impossible.

It is a one way conversation with MSNBC. We are the audience, who should be simply and willingly presenting our eager minds as theirs to mold, and what deeper thoughts we may possess are of no consequence to them.
