*sigh* So the Democrats are officially the "party of empire" now?

During the Bush administration, the debate was that Democrats thought terrorism should be dealt with under a law-enforcement paradigm while Republican said it was warfare against an irregular force. Now even Keith Olberman has officially sanctioned the "war on terror" paradigm.

During the Bush administration Democrats were critical of the Patriot Act (at least those who didn't vote for it...). Now it is Republicans who challange it and Democrats who call them "Terrorist supporters" for challenging it.

When Bush invaded Iraq under false pretenses and without congressional mandate it was criticized by some (those who weren't complicit at least). Now a Democratic president goes to war without authorization of congress and under questionable pretenses, and we have cases where Republicans speak out against it and get called "Traitors" by Democrats.
