Roger Ailes, the President of the Fox News Channel, had bomb-proof glass installed in his office because of fears he would be attacked by gay activists, according to a former colleague.

Dan Cooper, a former managing editor at Fox News, told Rolling Stone that Ailes insisted on having bomb-proof glass installed in his second story office windows in Manhattan.

"They’ll be down there protesting," Ailes allegedly said. "Those gays."

2. There's a weakness in the newspaper division after Murdoch bought the Wall Street Journal.

Interesting, considering their phone-tapping troubles in Great Britain...

The cable channel's earnings rivaled those of News Corp.'s entire film division, which includes 20th Century Fox, and helped offset a slump at Murdoch's beloved newspapers unit, which took a $3 billion write-down after acquiring The Wall Street Journal.
