when I was finishing up the fiber-optic ramp sensor/camera upgrades on the 101/135 interchange on a contract job to CalTrans around Toluca Lake. Traffic would sit at those ramps a good thirty - fourty seconds those days, and more than a few people would make comments (usually positive) about seeing a smallish, happy woman in a hard hat and orange vest working alone on the ramp boxes as an electrician while they were waiting. A couple tried offering me work, or picking me up; don't know which at the time. (This was about 50 lbs ago and I was a buxum, young looking single lady in her very late 30's...)
Anyway, I saw the Gropenator at least twice on the ramp from the Warner Brother's ramp. In his big, nasty-smelling Hummer.
I did get a "hi there, are you going to fix us up soon?" from Nicholas Cage on one of the Universal Studio ramps I was working on the fourth or fifth time he passed me, and a wave from Bill Mahar.
