It's easy to let your mouth run away with itself when dealing with the more vile folks on the right. It doesnt excuse bigotry against women or anyone else. But I understand.

That being said, apologizing was the right thing to do, no matter if the RWers make fun of us or not, or if they take advantage of it or not. Sometimes you just have to do the right thing and take the consequences.

I think Ed Schultz is one of those guys that wears his heart on his sleeve. He can get pretty passionate about the issues and sometimes that passionate attitude can lead to some pretty stupid things said.

Is Ed Schultz a sexist? I highly doubt it. I've heard his apologize and he has shown remorse for what he has said.

Does Ed Schultz deserve to be suspended for a week for saying it? Yes. I realize that if Ed Schultz was a right-wing crazy on Fox News, he would not have been punished. But then again if Ed Schultz was on Fox News using sexist/racist/homophobic words to do his rants he probably would have a diminishing audience and few mainstream sponsers.

Just because the right-wing does it doesn't mean it's ok we do too. We should hold our progressive talk-show hosts to higher standards because in the long run class will always win over crass.

They whore for Murdoch and have no concerns about ethics. That's not really gender specific in the political context I think he meant it.
